STERN SECTION AND WHEELHOUSE UPRIGHT AND VIRTUALLY INTACT. BOW SECTION LYING ON PORT SIDE WITH A LARGE WINCH STILL ATTACHED, SOME 40MTRS FWD OF THE WHEELHOUSE TO THE EAST. LIES IN A DEEP SCOUR. BRASS HANDRAIL AROUND THE STERN AREA. TOP OF BOILER VISIBLE IN A CENTRAL POSITION BEHIND THE WHEELHOUSE. BELL RECOVERED FROM THIS AREA AT THE BASE OF THE STBD LADDER. IT HAD THE INITIALS GSNC (GENERAL STEAM NAVIGATION CO) PRESSED INTO IT. OVAL BRASS SHIPBUILDER'S PLATE, MOUNTED ON A HARDWOOD BACKPLATE, RECOVERED FROM THE FRONT OF THE WHEELHOUSE.
