Cause: built in 1915 by s p austin & son ltd, sunderland. owned at time of loss by stephenson, clarke & co, london. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 309hp, single shaft. passage newcastle-upon-tyne for london. cargo coal. struck a mine laid by uc-7 and sank.
