Shipwreck details

Name: HMS NORTHUMBERLAND (PROBABLY)

Length 45.7 meter, width: 12.5 meter, tonnage 1041 ton

Cause: Built in 1679 by bailey, bristol. 3rd rate, 70 guns. driven ashore on goodwins in the great storm of 1703. all hands lost. most of the wreck uncovered in the early 1980's causing an excessive load on her weakened timbers and the wreck has largely collapsed. (sibi).
