Length 55.5 meter, width: 5.8 meter, tonnage 650 ton

Cause: Mined.location ? english channelub-109 was a u-boat in the german imperial navy during world war i. she was commissioned on 7 nov 1917. on 29 aug 1918, she hit a mine and sank in the dover barrage, an underwater blockade to stop german submarines attempting to use the english channel during world war i. the barrier consisted of minefields laid between belgium and dover at the outbreak of war. she had a loss of 29 men.

APPEARS TO BE IN TWO HALVES LYING CLOSE TOGETHER. LIES 020/200DEGS. (HMS BULLDOG, HI 35/77). NFA. H1310/82/22 13.8.82 AFTER EXTENSIVE EXPLORATION BELIEVE THIS WK TO BE UB 109.
