Cause: built in 1904 by j l thompson & sons ltd, sunderland. owned at time of loss by corinthian shipping co ltd. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 307hp, single shaft. passage blyth for rochefort. cargo coal. shelled by ub-39, the vessel stopped and crew abandoned. submarine crew boarded and looted the vessel prior to sinking it with demolition charges.
