Cause: Built in 1881 by j readhead & co, newcastle-upon-tyne. owned at time of loss by the elliott s tug co ltd (dick & page). two boilers, compound expansion engine of 151hp, single shaft. passage london for the tyne. cargo ?ballast or ?steel. sank following collision with russian barque 'hoppet'. all hands lost.

BR STD. H1270/73 3.11.78 LOCATED. OLD WK. BOILER & ENGINE HIGHEST PART. (KIRKPATRICK, HUMBER DIVERS, TELECON 24.11.78).
