Cause: Built 1868 by charles mitchell & co. ltd. owned at time of loss by adam brothers (j c straker). one boiler, compound inverted engine of 110 nhp, single shaft. machinery by r & w hawthorn ltd, newcastle. passage newcastle for cette, france. sank following collision with ss crane in fog off flamborough. all 20 crew rescued. POSN 5355.967N, 0017.535E [WGD]. (C RACEY, E-MAIL DTD 29.5.09) NCA. SEP 2016/000053291 11.10.16 EXAM'D 21.3.16; IN 5355.988N, 0017.524E [WGD]. LEAST WCD DEPTH 36.9MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 45MTRS, LENGTH 66.8MTRS, WIDTH 13.2MTRS, HEIGHT 10.1MTRS, ORIENTATION 050/240 DEGS. SCOUR DIMENSIONS LENGTH 8MTRS, TOWARD 150DEGS. WRECK SITS ON ITS HULL BUT HAS BROKEN UP AND IS PARTIALLY BURIED WITH STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (MMT, HI 1473). AMEND NDW 36MTRS IN REVISED POSITION. UK NM 46/5833/16.
