Cause: Built in 1936 by cook, welton & gemmel, beverley. owned at time of loss by kingston steam trawling co. one boiler, s turbine, single shaft. machinery by c d holmes & co (hydraulic corp). passage hull for fishing and return. foundered following collision.

DCS3 LENGTH 60MTRS, BEAM 10MTRS, LYING 175/355 DEG. (UDI GROUP LTD, HN FOR HI 32A). NCA. HH100/351/18 8.4.02 LIES BOWS N ON SAND SEABED. AN OLD SIDEWINDER S TRAWLER. IDENTIFIED BY BELL. (A C JACKSON & C A RACEY). NCA. HH100/351/18 30.4.02 BOW DAMAGED FROM COLLISION. BEAM TRAWLERS APPEAR TO KEEP HITTING THIS WK ON THE PORT SIDE, SLOWLY OPENING HER UP. (S OLD). NCA. SEP 2016/000156768 13.7.16 DURING COMPILATION OF H525 FOR WK THE SHOALEST DEPTH WAS FOUND BY WCD OF 38.6MTRS IN 5357.968N, 0020.922E [WGD]. (MMT, HI1473_H102_BO_014). AMEND NDW 38MTRS IN REVISED POSN. SEP 2016/000053291 12.10.16 EXAM'D 21.3.16; IN 5357.968N, 0020.922E [WGD]. WRECK SITS ON ITS HULL, UPRIGHT LISTING TO PORT, IT IS INTACT WITH AN A-FRAME OR SIMILAR ATTACHED TO THE REAR OF THE WRECK, POSSIBLY FOR TRAWLING. IT HAS A STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (MMT, HI 1473).
