Cause: Built in 1901 by w grey & co ltd, west hartlepool. owned at time of loss by merchinson ss co. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 165hp, single shaft. machinery by central marine eng works ltd, west hartelpool. passage bilbao for middlesbrough. cargo iron ore. sank following a collision in ne force 3 with british ss eda.
