Cause: 2.2.1940 built in 1922 by sir john laing & son ltd, sunderland. owned at time of loss by the british tanker co. three boilers, 2 steam turbines of 642hp, single shaft. passage the tyne for aberdeen. in ballast. torpedoed by u-59 on 2.2.1940 sank on 3.2.1940. no men lost. later dispersed.
