Cause: built 1909 by scott & sons, bowling, with 2 cylinder compound engine of 70hp, 1 boiler, single shaft. machinery by ross & duncan, glasgow. originally owned by david macbrayne ltd for use as a ferry. requistioned in 1917 for use as a submarine patrol vessel. torpedoed & sunk by german submarine uc 75 off flamborough hd. (ships of the royal navy, ww1sl, sibi, wrecksite.eu)
