LARGE, WELL DEFINED WK BROKEN IN TWO AMIDSHIPS. DEBRIS IS SCATTERED AROUND THE LOCAL AREA. A LARGE SAND MOUND 120MTRS TO THE NW IS ASSUMED TO BE BURIED DEBRIS. MAGNETIC ANOMALY NOTED. (GARDLINE, HI 730). HIGH POINT AT ONE END CASTS FIRM, NARROW SHADOW. POSSIBLY NETS OR MASTS. INS AS WK 46MTRS. BR STD. HH100/351/17 25.4.0 DIVED IN 1998. A LARGE WK SAT UPRIGHT AND INTACT. DECK FILLER SEEN BEARING THE NAME 'TYNE IRON SHIPBUILDING COMPANY'. THIS PLATE GIVES THE VITAL CLUE TO THE NAME, THOUGH BY SHEER SIZE THIS COULD ONLY BE LEANDER OR LINARIA. (A C JACKSON/C A RACEY). SCOUR LENGTH 43.5MTRS, 0.5MTRS DEEP TOWARDS 253 DEGS. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY, WRECK APPEARS TO BE MAINLY INTACT, BUT HAS BROKEN UP AT THE CENTRE. (EGS, HI 1472). AMEND NDW 44MTRS.
