Cause: built by smith's dock co, middlesbrough. owned at time of loss by j marr & son ltd. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 61hp, single shaft. lost following a violent explosion. considered to have been mined.

Details measurements/cartography: H0833/41 10.4.41 SUNK 087DEG, 2.87M FROM GRIMSBY HYDRAULIC TOWER. SPAR SHOWS 2FT [LWS]. (HMS BEAVER I, 28.2.41). INS AS DW IN 533506N, 000043E. - PFNM 571/41, FNM 825/41 & NM 817/41. H0833/41 2.8.45 WK DISPERSED SATISFACTORILY. (HUMBER CONSERVANCY BOARD, 1945). AMEND TO NDW.

- NM 2302/45. H535/63 13.2.67 WK STILL THOUGHT A DANGER. E/S DEPTH OF 28FT REPORTED DURING TELECON WITH HUMBER CONSERVANCY BOARD DURING SUMMER 1959 WAS NOT LEAST DEPTH. (HUMBER CB, 13.2.67). AMEND TO DW. -NM 378/67. H535/63 12.5.70 EXAM'D BY BTDB IN 533508N, 000040E, ABOUT 0.5C NW OF CHARTED POSN. SWEPT CLEAR AT 25FT [BELOW CD]. (BTDB, 5.5.70).
