Cause: Built in 1913 by abdela & mitchell ltd, queeenferry. owned at time of loss by civil & marine ltd. four cylinder oil engine, single shaft. passage felixtowe for london. cargo sand and stone. began shipping water in heavy seas. was abandoned by crew when pumps failed to cope and later sank after an attempt to tow vessel failed. (ll & sibi).
