Name: HMS ARETHUSA

Length 125 meter, width: 11.9 meter, tonnage 3512 ton

Cause: built in 1913 chatham dockyard. 8 boilers, twin turbines of 30000hp, twin shaft. struck a mine in supposedly clear channel. 10 men lost.

H1847/47 24.7.47 THIS WRECK WAS ABANDONED IN AUGUST 1916, MY LORDS ARE THEREFORE UNABLE ACCEPT FINANCIAL LIABILITY FOR EXPENSE INCURRED IN MARKING THE WRECK. H1847/47 10.4.51 CLEARED AT 4FT. (EAST ANGLIA OFFSHORE WIND LTD, REPORT BY EMU LTD DTD 12.6.12). LEAST M/B IN DIGITAL DATA 2.4MTRS. AMEND WK 2.4MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
