Cause: built by heinricht brand, oldenberg. owned at time of loss by hinrich witte. six cylinder oil engine of 300bhp, single shaft. sank while under tow, following collision with spanish gas tanker 'tamames'. crew recovered.

A DISTINCT CONTACT 0.5 CABLE SE OF WK BELIEVED TO BE LARGE ANCHOR LOST DURING DISPERSAL OPS. (SOISS, HI 196). RETAIN SWEPT DEPTH IN NEW POSN. BR STD. SEP 2016/000091759 31.8.17 EXAM'D 7.3.17; IN 5214.690N, 0141.405E [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 12.67MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 14MTRS, LENGTH 50.1MTRS, WIDTH 20.3MTRS, HEIGHT 2.1MTRS, ORIENTATION 051/231 DEGS. SCOUR LENGTH 218MTRS, 0.6MTRS DEEP, TOWARDS 189 DEGS. WRECK IS NOT CLEARLY DEFINED AND APPEARS BROKEN UP ALONG THE LENGTH OF THE VESSEL. (GARDLINE, HI 1495). AMEND DW 12.6MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
