Cause: built in 1921 by lithgows ltd, port glasgow. owned at time of loss by thos & jho brocklebank ltd. two boilers, turbine of 1147hp, single shaft. machinery by parson marine steam turbine co ltd. passage south shields for southampton. in ballast. struck mine laid by german aircraft. broke in two and sank. six men lost.
