Cause: built in 1913 by sorlandets skibsbyg, fevig. owned at time of loss by dpsk. akties. regin. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 188hp, single shaft. passage tyne for bordeaux. cargo coal. mined in the n sea but managed to reach shallow water before foundering.

SMALL BUT FIRM SONAR CONTACT. (HMS ECHO, HI 60C/79). SONAR TRACES SEEM TO INDICATE THIS IS A SIZEABLE WK BURIED IN SANDY BOTTOM WITH ONLY SMALL PORTION ABOVE SEABED. CHART AS WK 12.3MTRS. BR STD. H2347/85 20.1.87 EXAM'D 27.9.86 IN 512508N, 012930E [OGB] USING TRISPONDER & HIFIX/6. LEAST E/S DEPTH 12.0 IN GEN DEPTH 12 TO 13MTRS. SCOUR DEPTH 14.6MTRS. A SECOND CONTACT WAS LOCATED IN 512508N, 012925E, 102MTRS W OF CHARTED POSN, OVER WHICH A LEAST DEPTH 12.6MTRS, IN A 13.5MTR SCOUR, WAS OBSERVED. SMALL MAGNETIC DEFLECTION AND THOUGHT THERFORE UNLIKELY TO BE WK THE SIZE OF REGIN. (NP 1016, HI 314B). AMEND TO WKS 12MTRS. BR STD. HH090/770/01 21.9.98 LOCATED BY MAGNETOMETER ONLY DURING MAIN LINE SOUNDING. NOT SEEN ON DCS3 DURING INVESTIGATION BUT A SECOND, SMALLER, MAGNETIC ANOMALY NOTED. AMEND TO FOUL. (NP 1016, HI 770). AMENDED TO FOUL. BR STD. SEP 2018/000061842 16.7.18 EXAM'D 19.12.17; LOCATED IN 5125.165N, 0129.311E [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 12.61MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 13MTRS, LENGTH 3.3MTRS, WIDTH 3.5MTRS, HEIGHT 1.3MTRS, ORIENTATION 085/265 DEGS. WRECK IS A SMALL INTACT WRECK. (GARDLINE, HI 1519). AMEND FOUL 12.6MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
