Cause: Built in 1914 by s b & r co, maryport. owned at time of loss by w j cran, west hartlepool. single boiler, compound expansion engine of 56hp, single shaft. machinery aft by shields eng co, north shields. passage jarrow for calais. cargo pig iron. suffered major explosion under the fore hatch and sank.
