NC 121. 9.5.74 AMEND TO WK 14.8MTRS [LAT]. NC 121. H5084/77 20.3.80 EXAM'D 27.11.79 & 6.12.79 IN 535226N, 001811E [OGB] USING HIFIX/6 [2 LOP]. LEAST E/S DEPTH 35.9 IN GEN DEPTH 40MTRS. NO SCOUR. DCS3 HT NOT OBTAINED. LENGTH 60MTRS. LIES 350/170 DEG. (HMS EGERIA, HI 64/79). AMEND TO WK 35MTRS. BR STD. 3.9.07 LOCATED AND DIVED BY OTHERS IN 5352.493N, 0018.065E [WGD]. PROBABLE WW1 LOST, AS LEAD INGOTS FROM A FOUNDRY WHICH CLOSED IN 1922 FOUND. TO BE DIVED AGAIN SOON AND FULLER REPORT TO FOLLOW. (K HEATH, TELECON 3.9.07). NCA YET. 3.6.08 GOLD COIN FOUND DATED 1861, LIKELY TO BE THE WK OF THE 'LIFEGUARD', SEE ALSO [5825]. SALVAGE OPERATIONS KNOWN TO BE IN PROGESS AT PRESENT, A GERMAN COMPANY IS INVOLVED & IS UTILISING A DANISH BARGE. (K HEATH, TELECON 3.6.08). C IN C REQUESTED. NCA. WRECK SITS ON ITS HULL UPRIGHT AND MOSTLY INTACT, BOW PARTLY BURIED. INDICATION OF SEDIMENT BUILD UP ON STARBOARD SIDE BUT NO SCOURING WITH STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (MMT, HI 1473). AMEND NDW 35MTRS IN REVISED POSITION.
