Cause: built in 1941 by s p austin & son, sunderland. owned at time of loss by the gaslight & coke co. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 242 hp, single shaft. machinery aft by ne maring engine co, sunderland. passage sunderland for london. cargo coal. struck a sunken wk, continued on passage with a severe leak and sank inside the n scroby sand.
