Cause: built 1924 by d & w henderson & co ltd, glasgow as a cross channel ferry for the southern railway co. hired as an auxillary net-layer from 10.1940. two triple expansion engines of 166nhp, twin shaft. requisitioned by the admiralty for service as auxiliary net-layer. bombed & sunk by german aircraft off great yarmouth. 32 men lost. (dods & sibi).
