H1952/80 25.1.83 EXAM'D 3.8.81 IN 525450N, 013454E [OGB] USING HIFIX/6 [2 LOP]. SWEPT CLEAR AT 15.9, FOUL AT 16.4MTRS. LEAST E/S DEPTH 17.2MTRS. NO SCOUR. DCS3 HT NOT DETERMINED BECAUSE OF INDISTINCT RETURNS. LYING 145/325 DEGS. (SOISS, HI 22).

- NM 708/83. H1310/88/48 27.9.88 DIVED ON IN 524453N, 013441E [OGB] USING DECCA. APPEARS TO BE 180 - 200FT LONG, 25FT IN THE BEAM AND STANDS ABOUT 20FT ABOVE SEABED. HULL IS BROKEN FOR'D OF THE ENGINE AND BOILER. (M OXLADE, 1.9.88). 28.9.89 IDENTIFIED AS THE 'OTTER' FROM POTS AND CUTLERY FOUND IN WK. (F WATSON, TELECON). HH100/351/01 21.11.89 CUTLERY, PLATES AND ORNATE VICTORIAN TOILET RECOVERED WHICH CARRY BURNS MCIVOR SHIPPING LINE CREST AND NAME 'OTTER'. (M OXLADE). HH100/351/07 3.9.93 DIVED IN 525453N, 013453E [OGB] USING GPS. LIES N/S WITH BOW S. TWO LARGE BOILERS AND ENGINE STAND 4MTRS OFF SEABED. FORWARD 25FT IS BURIED IN SAND AND FORWARD HOLD ASSUMED COVERED. SUPERSTRUCTURE AND MOST OF DECKING HAS GONE BUT SOME BURNT DECKING FOUND IN AFTER AND FORWARD SECTIONS. FOULED BY NETS. SILVER SPOONS AND FORKS FOUND - HALLMARKS DATE 1820 - 1860. REFERENCE TO TYNE SHIPPING COMPANY FOUND ON RIM OF A POT. (G SPENCE, 26.8.93). NCA.
