Cause: Built in 1907 by the vickers shipbuilding co, barrow-in-furness. petrol engines, twin shaft. sank following a collision with british ss eddystone.

LIES IN AREA OF SANDWAVES, CRESTS OF WHICH ARE SHOALER THAN THE WK. LENGTH 25MTRS, BEAM 10MTRS, LYING 130/310 DEGS. (SOISS, HI 22). BR STD. 30.8.90 IDENTIFIED AS WK OF SMALL BRITISH SUBMARINE LYING HALF BURIED WITHIN SANDBANK. SMALL CONNING TOWER. FOUR STABLISERS AT STERN AND SINGLE FOUR-BLADED PROPELLER. LARGE DENT ABOUT 10FT FORWARD OF STERN. STANDS ABOUT 4.5MTRS ABOVE SEABED WITH ABOUT 60 TO 80FT EXPOSED IN GEN DEPTH ABOUT 85FT. APPEARS TO BE INTACT. TELEGRAPH AND RECOVERED SWITCHBOARD INDICATES THAT IT IS BRITISH. (MSSRS WATSON & HICKINBOTTOM, TELECON). HH100/351/04 27.3.91 LIES ON ITS SIDE IN APPROX 27MTRS OF WATER. CONNING TOWER IS DETACHED BUT OTHERWISE WK IS INTACT WITH BOW BURIED IN A SANDBANK. LARGE SANDWAVES IN AREA MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. (R W HICKINBOTTOM, 4.2.91).
