Length 127.3 meter, width: 17.3 meter, draught: 7.6, tonnage 4762 ton
Load: general and mixed goods,non-ferrous elements and ores: unrefined and refined

Cause: built in 1941 by caledon sb & eng co ltd, dundee. owned by the great britain ss co. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 393 hp, single shaft. machinery by the ne marine engineering co. passage london for calcutta. general cargo including nickel ingots. torpedoed by german e-boat. caught fire and was taken tow. went ashore following day and broke back. some cargo was discharged.

ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF STEEL PLATES. SEARCH WITH 3 DIVERS IN JUNE 1970 EXTENDED 1 MILE AROUND CHARTED POSN. CONSIDERED UNLIKELY THAT WK HAS ROLLED INTO SCOUR OR HAS BEEN COVERED BY SEABED.
