Cause: Built in 1848 in belfast as a 2 masted steam paddle schooner. owned at time of loss by coates & young, belfast. one boiler, compound expansion engine, single shaft. passage hull for rotterdam. cargo raw cotton. struck by 'swan' after contrary alteration of course. foundered. one man lost.
