Cause: Location ? north sea off yarmouthd5 was one of eight d-class submarines built for the royal navy, she is the only d-class submarine lost in english waters. d5 hit a german mine on 3 nov 1914 after responding to a german attack on yarmouth, with a loss of 20 men.
