Cause: built in 1929 by cowpen dry dock & sb co ltd, blyth, with two boilers, triple expansion engine of 197 nhp, single shaft. machinery by g clark ltd, sunderland. owned at time of loss by cory colliers ltd. passage seaham for london in convoy. sunk by e-boat approximately 30m e of cromer. crew iof 20 rescued. (ll2sl, ll ww2 & sibi).

LEAST M/B DEPTH 23.05MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 30MTRS, LENGTH 73.4MTRS, WIDTH 14.6MTRS, HEIGHT 7.8MTRS, ORIENTATION 002/182 DEGS. SCOUR LENGTH 122MTRS, WIDTH 40MTRS, 5MTRS DEEP, TOWARDS 332 DEGS. (MERITAITO, HI 1580). WRECK LIES ON ITS STARBOARD SIDE. AFT SECTION IN INTACT ALTHOUGH THERE IS A LARGE HOLE IN THE HULL. FORE SECTION HAS BROKEN APART AND LIES TO THE NW. A MAST IS VISIBLE ON THE SEABED TO THE EAST AS WELL AS WHAT COULD BE TWO BOILERS. AMEND DW 23MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
