Cause: Built in 1924 by w beardmore & co. owned at the time of loss by london, midland & scottish railway co. triple expanion engine of 333 nhp for 13 knots. torpedoed by mtbs when in convoy off cromer. crew of 24 all lost. (dods).

STERN SEPARATED FROM REST OF WK BY A FEW MTRS AND IS VERY BROKEN UP. HIGHEST POINT IS BROKEN MAST ON BOW SECTION WHICH STANDS A FURTHER 3MTRS ABOVE THE REST. (R HICKINBOTTOM, 16.5.91). HH100/351/15 28.2.00 DIVED IN 5245.73N, 0157.46E [WGD]. UPRIGHT AND IN TWO PIECES. MIDSHIPS AND STERN ARE IN ONE PIECE WHICH LIES ALONGSIDE THE BOW SECTION. SUPERSTRUCTURE ON THE STERN IS STILL INTACT AND A SMALL GUN IS MOUNTED ON TOP OF THE STERN STEERING HOUSE. WK STANDS 7MTRS PROUD, THE HIGHEST POINT BEING THE GUN. (R HICKINBOTTOM, LTR DTD 20.2.00). NCA. 17.12.08 IN TWO PARTS WITH BOW POINTING AT THE STERN ON THE STBD SIDE TO FORM AN 'L' SHAPE. GAP OF 5MTRS BETWEEN SECTIONS. TWO SMALL BOILERS LIE ON THE SEABED TOTALLY EXPOSED AMONG A LARGE DEBRIS FIELD. SOME SHELL CASES SCATTERED ON THE SEABED AND BEHIND THE STERN SECTION. (T BENJAFIELD). NCA. LENGTH 40MTRS, WIDTH 40MTRS, HT 6.0MTRS. LIES 080/260 DEGS (MAIN, STERN PART). STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. IN TWO PARTS, THE STERN LIES TOWARDS 080 DEGS WITH THE BOWS TOWARDS 135 DEGS. (GARDLINE GEOSURVEY, HI 1428). BOWS LIE CLOSE N OF MAIN PART. AMEND WK 19.8MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
