Cause: built in 1932 by eriksbergs m v akties, gothenburg. owned at time of loss by ministry of war transport. oil engines of 543bhp, twin shaft. passage curaco for shell haven. cargo 7499 tons oil distillate, 663 tons gas oil. mined and broke in two. after part sank, fwd part taken in tow but stranded near sheerness in a gale. later refloated and broken up at tilbury dock. cargo in fwd part discharged. fifteen men lost. (sibi).
