Length 36.8 meter, width: 6.6 meter, draught: 2.8, tonnage 167 ton
Load: oil

Cause: ex- lochside, built 1905 by smith's dock co. ltd. (t & w smith), middlesborough, with 2 cylinder compound engine of 50nhp, by shields engine co ltd., single boiler and single shaft. converted into a tanker in 1927 by clelands yard, tyne. owned at time of loss by c rowbotham & sons. passage medway to stockton. foundered in severe gale with loss of all 8 crew. photo of vessel. BR STD. 6.5.04 EUT POSN: 5354.766N, 0014.578E. NE 121. 3.2.10 VERY INTACT STEAM COASTER FITTED WITH TANKS IN FORWARD HOLD. UPRIGHT WITH BOWS N. DECK STILL IN PLACE, WITH ROOFED LOWER WHEEL HOUSE OR CHART ROOM IN PLACE. MANY ARTIFACTS RECOVERED, DIMENSIONS AND MACHINERY DETAILS, MEAN WRECK IS PROBABLY HELMSMAN. (C RACEY, E-MAIL 2.2.10) NCA.
