Cause: Torpedoed by german submarine 4 miles s of royal sovereign ltv whilst on passage bangkok to london and liverpool. (ww1sl & ll ww1). vessel, built in 1911 by c connell & co., glasgow and owned at the time of loss by caledonia ss co. ltd., was torpedoed and sunk by german submarine u-34. (dods).

- NM 1531/75. H4959/73 20.5.76 POSN 503814N, 002528E QUOTED ON HMS BEAGLE'S H525 IN ERROR. HIFIX COORDS GIVE 503849N, 002532E. THIS AGREES WELL WITH THAT SHOWN ON FAIR SHEET. (W.O.). AMEND TO WK 21.5MTRS [12FMS] IN 503849N, 002532E [OGB].
