Cause: Vessel, built 1896 by richardson, duck & co. and owned at the time of loss by sota y aznar, was torpedoed & sunk by german submarine, whilst en-route middlesborough to bilbao & barcelona. (ww1sl, ll ww1, dods & mr v bonfante).
