Length 80.1 meter, width: 10.4 meter, draught: 4.3, tonnage 997 ton

Cause: built in 1894 by w denny & bros ltd. owned at time of loss by the london, brighton and south coast railway. two triple expansion engines, twin shaft. passage newhaven for dieppe. collided with french ferry ss lyon in smooth seas and dense fog. hit on the port side and sank in 40 minutes. (sibi).

(I WARREN, 6.7.93). NCA. HH100/351/10 8.11.95 WK POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED AS THE 'SEAFORD' BY HER BELL. (S HOWLAND, 2.11.95). NCA. 17.4.14 EXAM'D 28.11.13 IN 5029.296N, 0024.853 [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 35.97 IN GEN DEPTH 42.5MTRS. NO SCOUR. LENGTH 75MTRS, WIDTH 11MTRS, HT 6.2MTRS. LIES 092/292 DEGS. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. PARTIALLY DEGRADED. (GARDLINE GEOSURVEY, HI 1442). INTACT, UPRIGHT, BOWS W. FWD AND AFT HOLD AREAS COLLAPSED. SAND PLUME EXTENDS E. AMEND WK 35MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
