Cause: built in 1906 by wellington & gemmel ltd, beverley. originally owned by grant & baker steam fishing co ltd. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 60nhp, single shaft. hired as an auxillary patrol vessel in 1915. mined. (sibi).

Details measurements/cartography: 20.11.08 DIVED IN 5037.930N, 0013.170E [WGD]. LIES IN 44MTRS STANDS APPROX 4MTRS HIGH. TRAWL NET WITH BUOYS ATTACHED GIVES IMPRESSION THAT WK STANDS 8MTRS OFF SEABED. LENGTH +30MTRS, BOWS N, SINGLE LARGE BOILER, ENGINE NOT SEEN. BREAK BEHIND THE BOILER WITH DEBRIS FIELD STRETCHING OUT. COULD BE 'PLODDER'. LIES ALONGSIDE SYLVIA MARTIN. (J SMITH, EMAILS DTD 11.11.08 & 19.11.08). COVERED BY WKS 37MTRS NEARBY. SEE [20398] & [20490]. 29.12.09 DIVED SUMMER 2009. FOUND TO BE THE REMAINS OF A TRAWLER. SINGLE BOILER WITH WINCH SPANNING THE OPEN DECK. BOW HAS NO FORECASTLE & HAS A SMALL SQUARE SIGHLIGHT. THE AREA BEHIND THE BOILER IS BADLY BROKEN, WHICH SUGGESTS AN EXPLOSION. DESCRIPTION FITS THAT OF THE 'BORNEO', WHICH WAS DESTROYED BY EITHER A MINE OR TORPEDO. SEE ALSO [20466].
