Cause: sank after collision with 'vale of arundal'. the vessel, an iron screw steamer, was built by withy of hartlepool in 11.1871. registered in hartlepool. 98 ihp. two decks. owned by groves, mclean & co. the masters were mr clark, then mr barnes. (lloyd's register 1873-74).
