COASTER WITH CARGO OF RAILWAY SLEEPERS AND LINES. (HMS BRONINGTON, HI 41/76). H4121/76 4.8.76 EXAM'D 28.5.76. DRIFT SWEPT CLEAR AT 17, FOUL AT 18MTRS. (HMS ECHO/HMS ENTERPRISE, HI 41/76). NFA. H1280/77/32 29.9.77 'MID-SURREY' SANK IN 504118N, 001445E, APPROX. (R A LEE, 14.1.77). H1284/77/175 25.10.77 WK LOCATED IN REPORTED POSN. KNOWN LOCALLY AS WK OF LARGE COASTAL TRAWLER 'ADVENTURINE'. LIES IN TWO HALVES - THE MAIN BOILER BEING THE MAJOR PART OF ONE HALF AND STANDS 20FT ABOVE THE SEABED. LIES PARTIALLY BURIED IN SANDY GRAVEL BOTTOM. (M J WEBB, 27.4.77). [PROBABLY CONFUSED WITH HMS AVANTURINE - SEE 20463]. HH100/351/05 21.5.92 LOCATED USING DECCA. REFERRED TO AS 'MIDSURREY'. (C MARTIN, 13.4.92). NCA. 24.7.96 WRECK IDENTIFIED AS THE 'BLANEFIELD' BY RECOVERY OF SHIP'S BELL. HIGHEST POINT OF WK IS THE ENGINE WHICH STANDS 6MTRS PROUD OF THE SEABED. (M KEANE). NCA. SEP 2015/000083466 5.2.16 EXAM'D 18.07.15 IN 5040.430N, 0014.613E [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 21.51MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 28.51MTRS. NO SCOUR, LENGTH 110MTRS, HT 7MTRS, WIDTH 24MTRS. BROKEN UP WK, PARTIALLY BURIED, STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (GARDLINE GEOSURVEY, HI 1477). AMEND DW 21.5MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
