Name: CALEB SPRAGUE

Length 76.2 meter, width: 12.8 meter, draught: 5.5, tonnage 1813 ton
Load: timber,metal: concentrate and products

Cause: Torpedoed and sunk by german e-boat while on passage london to newport. (ww2sl). vessel, built in 1943 by pacific bridge co. and owned at the time of loss by ministry of war transport (whimster & co.), was torpedoed and sunk by german e-boats. 25 lives lost. (dods).

A RIDGE ON SEABED, DEPTH 37MTRS, EXISTS JUST N OF WK. (HMS BEAGLE, HI 55/74). AMEND WK 34MTRS. NE 536. H4959/73 20.5.76 BEAGLE'S POSN IN ERROR. POSN FROM HIFIX COORDS IS 503816N, 002529E, WHICH AGREES WELL WITH FAIR SHEET. (WRECKS OFFICER). AMEND TO 503816N, 002529E [OGB].
