Cause: Ex-wellpark, ex-navex '37, ex-prina '38, ex-willy '39. built in 1918 by greenock & grangemouth dockyard co ltd, grangemouth. owned at time of loss by the ministry of war transport. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 288nhp, single shaft. passage london for bristol. a danish ss seized when denmark was occupied by the germans. scuttled by her crew, was raised, repaired and sailed for the uk in 11.1940. torpedoed by german e-boats off hastings. 21 lives lost. (sibi). lost were 17 crew, 3 gunners and the pilot. (ll ww2). cargo 376 tons steel slabs, 250 tons billets, 608 tons pig iron. (j short).
