Cause: Built of steel in 1912 by cochrane & sons of selby. originally owned by the hudson steam fishing co ltd of hull. hired during ww1 as an auxillary patrol trawler between 1915-1919. returned to her owners and rehired in 1940 as a minesweeper. owned at time of loss by the royal navy. single boiler, triple expansion engine of 79 hp, single shaft. foundered in rye bay after running aground.
