Name: HMS WARLAND (POSSIBLY)

Length 35.7 meter, width: 6.5 meter, draught: 3.7, tonnage 406 ton

Cause: 24.5.40 built in 1913 by cook, welton & gemmel, beverely for a w baxter & co. hired 1916-1919 as an armed trawler then returned to owners. purchased for the rn from 24.5.40 as an anti-submarine trawler. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 58hp, single shaft. machinery by amos & smith ltd, hull. one 12pdr gun. attacked and sunk by german aircraft.

(UDI GROUP LTD, HI 321A).

CLOSE BY APPEARS TO BE IRON RODS IN A GREAT PILE. SINGLE BOILER ABOUT 12 FEET IN DIAMETER AND ONE ENGINE. WK RAN OUT WITH NO DEFINITE BOW OR STERN. VERY BROKEN UP. (R YOUNG, EMAIL DTD 13.7.04). NCA. SEP 2016/000053291 7.10.16 EXAM'D 6.4.16; IN 5347.884N, 0034.150E [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 28.19MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 34MTRS, LENGTH 70.3MTRS, WIDTH 22.1MTRS, HEIGHT 6.3MTRS, ORIENTATION 144/324 DEGS.
