Cause: 24.5.40 built in 1913 by cook, welton & gemmel, beverely for a w baxter & co. hired 1916-1919 as an armed trawler then returned to owners. purchased for the rn from 24.5.40 as an anti-submarine trawler. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 58hp, single shaft. machinery by amos & smith ltd, hull. one 12pdr gun. attacked and sunk by german aircraft.

(UDI GROUP LTD, HI 321A).

CLOSE BY APPEARS TO BE IRON RODS IN A GREAT PILE. SINGLE BOILER ABOUT 12 FEET IN DIAMETER AND ONE ENGINE. WK RAN OUT WITH NO DEFINITE BOW OR STERN. VERY BROKEN UP. (R YOUNG, EMAIL DTD 13.7.04). NCA.
