Cause: Built in 1930 by w grey & co, west hartlepool. owned at time of loss by pool shipping co ltd. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 369hp, single shaft. machinery by central marine engine works ltd, west hartlepool. passage vancouver for hull. cargo wool and bulk grain. grounded and became a total loss.

IN VIEW OF THE EXTREME DIFFICULTY OF GETTING AN E/S TRACE FROM EITHER FOUL, IT SEEMS PROBABLE THAT MOORED PELLETS SECURED TO DISPERSED WRECKAGE MAY HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR BOTH FOULS.
