Details measurements/cartography: HH232/720/11 10.4.06 WK REMAINS LIE IN 5048.1767N, 0024.6380E [WGD]. LOCATED BY 3 LOCAL DIVERS WHILST TRYING TO FREE A LOBSTER POT IN PEVENSEY BAY. THEY FOUND THE REMAINS OF AN IRON BOLT OR NAIL, A SMALL SHOT AND A BRICK. LATER ASSESSMENT SHOWS THE SITE CONSISTS OF AT LEAST 45 IRON GUNS, OTHER ARTEFACTS AND TIMBER HULL STRUCTURE. GUN CLUSTER LIES ON TOP OF BALLAST MATERIAL, WITH THE WHOLE OCCUPYING AN AREA SOME 40MTRS BY 11.5MTRS AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE SHORE.
