Cause: built in 1920 by c connell & co ltd, glasgow. onwed at time of loss by t & j brocklebank ltd. two boilers, turbine engines of 1147hp. ?twin shaft. passage calcutta for london & hull to the tees. general cargo of 1750 tons manganese ore, gunnies, animal meal, desiccated coconut, jute & bones. mined & sank 1.5m off spurn lt ho.
