Cause: Built by cochrane & cooper, bererley. owned at time of loss by w chant, grimsby. one boiler, triple expansion engine of 40hp, single shaft. machinery by c d holmes & co, hull. passage grimsby for fishing and return. sank following collision with british s trawler strathdon. (UDI GROUP LTD, HN FOR HI 321A). INS AS WK SW 36MTRS. BR STD. H4064/85 15.1.87 EXAM'D 13.6.86 IN GEN DEPTH 41.7MTRS. SCOUR DEPTH 0.5MTR. DCS3 HT 3.9MTRS. (UDI, H 525). (ANDY DOWSLAND, E-MAIL 14.9.09). CONSIDERED THAT THIS WRECK COULD NOW POSSIBLY BE LAUREL AS LIES ON ORIGINAL BEARING GIVEN IN GRIMSBY LOSS LIST. SEP 2016/000053291 12.10.16 EXAM'D 21.3.16; IN 5351.901N, 0030.012E [WGD]. LEAST M/B DEPTH 39.24MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 41MTRS, LENGTH 69MTRS, WIDTH 10.8MTRS, HEIGHT 4.02MTRS, ORIENTATION 135/315 DEGS. SCOUR DIMENSIONS LENGTH 40MTRS, TOWARD 140 DEGS. WRECK SITS ON ITS HULL, UPRIGHT, BROKEN INTO 3 PARTS. THE CENTRAL SECTION IS FAIRLY INTACT, WITH THE BOW AND STERN DISINTEGRATING AND PARTLY BURIED. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (MMT, HI 1473). AMEND NDW 37MTRS IN REVISED POSITION.
