Cause: built in 1915 by a macmillen & sons ltd, dumbarton. onwed at time of loss by taten steam navigation co ltd. three boilers, triple expansion engine of 458nhp, single shaft. passage buenos aires for hull. struck mine laid by uc-5 2 to 2.5 miles e from longsand ltv. later beached at shoebury, essex. (wwisl & sibi).
