Cause: 20.1.15 built in 1914 by w denney & bros for the canadian pacific railway co. hired from 20.1.15 by the admiralty as a minelayer. turbine engines of 15000shp for 22.5knots. two x 4 inch guns, two x 3 inch guns. 400 mines. blew up while lying in sheeness harbour undergoing repairs. 78 dockyard staff and 53 ships staff on board. only a few men escaped.
