Length 120.4 meter, width: 16.5 meter, draught: 5.2, tonnage 5934 ton
Load: armament

Cause: 20.1.15 built in 1914 by w denney & bros for the canadian pacific railway co. hired from 20.1.15 by the admiralty as a minelayer. turbine engines of 15000shp for 22.5knots. two x 4 inch guns, two x 3 inch guns. 400 mines. blew up while lying in sheeness harbour undergoing repairs. 78 dockyard staff and 53 ships staff on board. only a few men escaped. (dods).

LEAST E/S DEPTH 30FT. THIS IS SHOALEST POSN IN AN APPROXIMATELY CIRCULAR FOUL AREA OF ABOUT 500FT DIAMETER. (HMS ECHO, 24.10.62). INS AS OSW 3FMS 5FT MARKED BY G SPHERICAL BUOY, INT QKF LGW.
