Cause: Built of iron in 1876 by dixon & co. owned at time of loss by w rayner & murray, middlesbrough. one boiler, compound expansion engine of 68hp. machinery by blair & co, stockton. single shaft. passage drompheim for lowestoft. cargo sulphur. sank following collision with ss emerald. two lost.

LEAST M/B DEPTH 43.04MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 48MTRS, LENGTH 57MTRS, WIDTH 11.2MTRS, HEIGHT 5.42MTRS, ORIENTATION 332/152 DEGS. SCOUR DIMENSIONS LENGTH 10MTRS, TOWARD 253 DEGS. WRECK SITS UPRIGHT ON ITS HULL, THE BOW IS INTACT BUT THE STERN IS DETERIORATING AND PARTLY BURIED. A SINGLE BOILER AND ENGINE ARE VISIBLE IN THE DEBRIS. WRECK HAS A MODERATE MAGNETIC ANOMALY. (MMT, HI 1473). AMEND NDW 43MTRS IN REVISED POSITION.
