Details measurements/cartography: 1.6.09 OLD SS, POSSIBLY WW2 LOSS, LOCATED AND DIVED IN 5405.737N, 0001.663E [WGD] ON EARLY 1990'S. MAIN WRECK WAS DIVED AND NET LINES ATTACHED TO WRECK WERE FOLLOWED TO FV HANNAH LOUISA [SEE 6484], WHICH SANK AFTER SNAGGING WRECK AND LIES 15MTRS AWAY. SS, APPROX 1000TONS GROSS, IS UPRIGHT BUT DECAYING WITH ENGINE AND BOILERS, AMIDSHIPS, STARTING TO SHOW, BOWS MISSING OR DAMAGED. KNOWN LOCALLY AS "LIGHTHOUSE PACKET". GEN DEPTH 48MTRS. (C RACEY, E-MAILS DTD 28 & 29.5.09) SHOWN IN CONJUNCTION WITH [6484] AS WKS 34MTRS. BR STD. 30.6.09 DIVED ON 20.6.09 BY B SMITH OF HULL BSAC. FOUND TO BE A DECAYING SS, 300 TONS MAXIMUM, LYING ON HER STARBOARD SIDE, ABOUT 40MTRS IN LENGTH. BOW SECTION IS HIGHEST AND MOST INTACT POINT. A FAIRLY LARGE WINCH WAS LOCATED AMIDSHIPS IN FRONT OF THE SINGLE BOILER. THE ENGINE IS COVERED WITH WRECKAGE COLLAPSING AROUND IT AND CANNOT BE PROPERLY SEEN. THE STERN HAS DECAYED DOWN AND THERE IS A SCOUR ON THE STARBOARD SIDE. A RED SIGNAL LAMP GLASS WAS RECOVERED FROM THE BOW AREA. POSSIBLY A STEAM TRAWLER? (C RACEY E-MAIL DTD 26.9.09) NCA. SEP 2016/000053291 5.10.16 EXAM'D 10.3.16; IN 5405.722N, 0001.654 [WGD]. LEAST WCD DEPTH 35.36MTRS, GEN DEPTH 42.6MTRS. LENGTH 18.5MTRS, WIDTH 7.47MTRS, HT 6.07MTRS, ORIENTATION 083/263 DEGS. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY, WK MOSTLY INTACT. (MMT, HI 1473, H525_73595). AMEND NDW 35MTRS IN REVISED POSN.
