Cause: built by smith's dock co, middlesbrough. owned at time of loss by pool shipping co ltd. three boilers, triple expansing engine of 508hp, single shaft. passage london for the tyne. torpedoed and sunk by a german e-boat. broke in two. afterpart grounded on the scroby sands.
